Embracing My Sexy In Black & White*

Hey curvy girls all over the world,

With so much body shaming going on, sometimes we have to just look in the mirror and embrace the body we have now. A long time ago I vowed to myself that whether I was big or small, I would embrace and love my body no matter what. I’ve mentioned to you guys before that I put on some weight (a lot of weight) within the past two years. To be honest some days I look in the mirror and am happy with what I see and there are days when I’m like, I must breakout my Tae Bo dvd’s.

What I do know is that at the end of the day, I can go to bed, wake up and still be happy with the body I have. I personally believe that clothes are magical. When you find the right piece that makes your body look amazing, you’re not thinking about your weight. All you’re thinking about is how damn good you look.

ALthough I’ve packed on some pounds, I will never ever let it stop me from being my best and certainly it won’t stop me from dressing my best. I firmly believe that style has no size.

Recently, I pulled out this uber sexy black and white color contrast body con dress I got from Pink Club Wear. If you read my last style post, you know that they have some cute trendy pieces (see previous post HERE).

This black and white dress just made me feel amazing. When I slipped it on, I looked in the mirror and was so amazed at how it made my body look. I saw curves that I thought disappeared after I put some pounds. I had to look at myself in 3 different mirror just to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me.

This is why I say clothes are magical. When I saw how this dressed looked on me, I was not thinking about no gym. I felt confident and sexy. I did thank God that I went up a size because the dress does run small. However, it had enough stretch in it to make my curves feel comfy and look smooth.

For a little extra support I had to slip on my Wacoal shorts to suck in my gut. I have dubbed this dress the illusion dress because it gives me an hourglass shape and I lean more towards the apple shape. I wanted to play up the white in the dress so I slipped on my white nudist sandals from Aldo’s. The dress was a showstopper on it’s own so there was no need for a load up on accessories. I swiped on a red lip and clipped in a pair of silver hoop earrings and I was read to tell the world, you can kiss my fat A-Double S.
