Louis Vuitton’s spring 2012 collection was nothing short of whimsical feminine looks. Feathers, eyelet, sheer, and lace, everything a girl needs to simultaneously feel and look ladylike and magical. The silhouettes were a nod to the 40’s and 50’s and the color palette was a medley of pastels From yellow, green, and purple, to bright whites.
Since Louis Vuitton doesn’t make plus and while plus size brands are still playing catch up on designing trendy fashion forward styles, SC has browsed some of your fave plus size stores and curated our own version of the Louis Vuitton spring 2012 collection for your plus size curves.
Eyelet was a recurring theme throughout the Vuitton show and we found three super cute pieces to help you get the look:
Eshakti had tons of eyelet dresses that were perfect for re-creating the LV spring 2012 look.
This eyelet collared yellow dress looks like it could have actually been on the runway.

Jessica Simpson’s plus size line produced a lime green short sleeved eyelet biker jacket that is just screaming for a pair of white jeans or A-line skirt

Target always seem to have hidden gems in their plus size department. We found this white eyelet pleated skirt that resembled the boxy A-line styles on the LV runway.

The LV spring collection also produced a current shoe trend, the cap toe heel. Cap toe heels are every where. From YSL to ASOS. We thought these Stuart Weitzman blush pink cap toe Mary Jane heels were ultra chic.
There were sprinkles of knit argyle tops and floral tops in the LV spring 2012 collection.

Most of all, we loved all the pretty pastel colors in the LV spring 2012 show. We swooned over this lilac lace flutter sleeve body con dress from Dorothy Perkins. It will look just right with cap toe heels.

I think that the LV 2012 collection is cute but not necessarily my personal style. It seems a little too precious for me. I do love the Dorothy Perkins dress though.
I like the Jessica Simpson jacket (which breaks my heart because she’s not a favorite of mine and I don’t like making her rich) and the DP dress. Let me look on DP’s site and see how much it is.
