Lately, I have been experimenting with different looks. One look in particular that I have always been fond of are over the knee boots and mini skirts. I guess you can blame it on my fashion obsession with the movie Clueless. Last month, while doing some online shopping, I snagged a pair of over the knee boots from Lane Bryant and an Old Navy Women’s Plus Size mini skirt. It has literally been too warm to wear the boots, but when the weather finally started to cool off, I knew exactly how I wanted to wear them and the Old Navy Women’s Plus Size skirt.

I decided to pair the boots with a faux suede mini skirt, black turtleneck, and a plaid coat.

When it comes to coats, Old Navy always offers a nice quality pea coat. This blue plaid style caught my eye because of the color. I could have sized down but if we have a winter like we did last year, then the extra room will come in handy for layering.
As for the suede mini skirt, it is definitely a true mini. If you’re worried about showing too much thigh and leg, then you can always wear dark tights for a more sophisticated look.
Although this look is different than what I normally wear, I thought it was cute and modern. I loved how the gold necklace popped against the black turtleneck and complimented the camel colored skirt.
Old Navy Women’s Plus Size has really been producing some good plus size styles and the quality is worth the price. I can’t wait to rock this coat with jeans for a casual weekend look. I’m also going to wear the mini skirt with black tights and ankle boots.
As for the Lane Bryant Over the Knee boots, I love, love, love them. I am going to be wearing them with everything from jeans to midi dresses.

I am loving this look! And you are so right about Old Navy having some fantastic pieces lately. I have gotten more pieces from them this year than I ever have before. This color combination is really pretty too. I recently got a pair of dark brown OTK boots and was a little wary of them coming off too “Pretty Woman” if you know what I mean, but I am now obsessed with them with minis, midis, & jeans! You styled these so well, as usual. Thanks for always being an inspiration.
