With so many retailers getting rid of their plus size departments in store, only a few are left still holding us down. One of those retailers that has shown love to plus size women in store and online consistently is Lord & Taylor. You guys know that Lord & Taylor is one of my favorite department stores to shop. Especially in store. Their plus size selections are always on trend and now they offer more plus size brands than ever before. Now, they carry plus size brands like Addition Elle, Rachel Roy, Modamix, Melissa McCarthy, Carmakoma, and more.
Recently, L&T launched their friends and family sale and ya’ll know I couldn’t resist. The Lord & Taylor sale offers an extra 25% off ALMOST EVERYTHING. That includes brands that never go on sales. It even includes 10% off cosmetics and fragrances.
The Lord & Taylor sale started online Thursday and in store on Friday. I hit up my local Lord & Taylor on 5th avenue in NYC and found so many cute plus size dresses, shoes, and accessories during their Lord & Taylor sale.

During my visit, I found this gorgeous green leopard print faux wrap dress from Michael Kors. I snagged it for less than $100 using the code FRIENDS for the Lord & Taylor sale. I love how sexy this dress looked and made me feel. The color really flattered my skintone.
After finding this fab dress, I headed to the shoe department and immediately fell in love with these laser cutout black gladiator heels from Jessica Simpson. I thought they gave the dress a bit of an edgy look.
The Lord & Taylor sale also includes accessories and 10% off fragrance and makeup. So I found a cute pair of gold hoops from BCBG Generation. For lipstick, I picked up a deep berry shade from Nars called Scarlett.

This dress is amazing! Also, your styling is edgy & classy. I have noticed that most dept stores have reduced their plus sizes to online shopping only- it’s very saddening.
I don’t think most people realize, a size 8 is considered plus size so these stores are limiting a majority of their clients to shop only online or to stores that purposely cater to curvy & larger sizes.

I’m grateful to Lord & Taylor for showcasing plus sizes and awesome styles for plus sizes in their dept stores. So many dept stores have done away with plus sizes in their stores and only have the shopping option online.
