Hey curvy girls all over the world,
Lately, I have been inspired by the newest it couple Kimye. At first I wasn’t feeling the whole black and white color combo that they were doing only because I was so used to seeing Kim K. in colorful trendy looks. So, when she started to date Kanye and went for a more sophisticated and edgy style it took me a few takes to adjust. While I am a girl who loves wearing bright bold colors I can appreciate a classic black and white ensemble.
A few weeks ago, after my store visit to Dots, I went ahead and purchased the houndstooth flutter sleeve dress. I thought it was cute and on trend with the houndstooth print. While I am still leery of bold prints I know the easiest way to tone them down is by wearing prints with solids.
When I threw on this dress I felt a cropped leather jacket would give the dress a little edge. This cropped leather jacket is from Jessica London who always has really great leather jackets and blazers for plus size women. I own about 2 leather and 2 blazers from Jessica London that all pack a stylish punch. This cropped jacket is no different.
I wanted to continue with the black and white theme by pairing the dress with my go to black sandals from Jessica Simpson and my leather drawstring bag from Loft.
As for makeup, I went with a bold berry lip to add a splash of color.
Have you guys guys been digging Kiimye’s black and white style or are you over it?
I liked KK’s b4 Ye. It seemed effortless, on trend, and colorful. She was always flawless. The constant leather now is beyond annoying and blah. Part of her appeal, IMO, is her ability to be glamorous in anything.
